Men's shed

On Fridays throughout the year The Men’s Shed is conducted at the Club from 1.00 pm each week.

The purpose of the Group is to maintain the club and its surrounds to its highest level of presentation for club members and visitors to enjoy the facilities.

During the Pennant Season the bowling green will be mowed and rolled, surrounding lawns cut, trees and bushes trimmed, ditches cleaned for leaves and set-up of Pennant for Saturdays. Externally the group mows outside of the clubrooms so that the car park and surrounding areas are presented in a pristine manner. The club now owns new and renovated equipment that allows all work to be conducted in a timely manner (weather permitting)

On nights that Barefoot Bowls is to be conducted we also set up the green and clubrooms for the function.

The group has been responsible in recent times for the painting of the clubrooms, installation of life member photos and club premiership shields.

With the assistance of the Gisborne Community Bank we have recently erected and installed outside furniture for the comfort of members and guests.
