The Men's Shed meets every Friday throughout the year from 1.00 pm at the club.
The group plays an important role in maintaining the club and its surrounds to the highest possible standard, ensuring members and visitors can enjoy attractive, well-presented facilities all year round.
During the Pennant season, volunteers prepare the bowling green by mowing and rolling it, maintaining the surrounding lawns, trimming trees and shrubs, cleaning the ditches, and setting up the green for Saturday Pennant matches. They also care for the areas surrounding the clubhouse, including mowing around the car park and maintaining the grounds to ensure the club always presents at its best.
The club now has a range of new and upgraded equipment, allowing maintenance work to be completed efficiently and effectively, weather permitting.
On evenings when Barefoot Bowls is scheduled, the Men's Shed team also prepares both the greens and clubhouse to ensure everything is ready for participants and guests.
In recent years, the group has undertaken a number of significant improvement projects, including painting the clubhouse, installing the Life Members honour board and displaying the club's premiership shields.
With the generous support of the Gisborne Community Bank, the Men's Shed also recently installed new outdoor furniture, providing members and visitors with comfortable outdoor seating to relax and enjoy the club's surroundings.
The Men's Shed is a valued part of the Macedon Ranges Bowling Club, with its volunteers making an invaluable contribution to the ongoing presentation, maintenance and enjoyment of the club's facilities.
